The brand specialise in sex toys for women, and Lily has previously championed their products.
In her memoir My Thoughts Exactly the singer discussed discovering her own sexual pleasure on the Sheezus tour, stating: “And since you ask if I had to pick one vibrator above all the others, I recommend the Womanizer…”
Now Lily Allen has teamed with the brand for a new sex toy, with Liberty on sale now.
The aim is to remove the stigma around female self-pleasure, and to close the masturbation gap.
According to figures compiled by Womanizer in a recent survey that covered 7,000 men and women from 14 countries, the international masturbation gap between the genders is still 68%.
Lily and Womanizer want to challenge this, and the new product is a key part of their plan. Lily Allen comments:
“Sex toys are still seen as a taboo subject because they are related to masturbation and female pleasure. Female pleasure in itself is a taboo subject. The only way to make taboo subjects no longer taboo is to speak about them openly, frequently and without shame or guilt.”
