G-Eazy Announces 'Everything's Strange Here' Project & Release Date

Posted by

The world’s in the middle of strange times, and G-Eazy has decided to memorialize his thoughts about it on wax with a project.

The Bay Area native has revealed he’s releasing a new effort titled Everything’s Strange Here on June 5. Though his previously announced album These Things Happen Too is still happening, G-Eazy explained he just had to get this one out first.

“8 weeks ago I didn’t know I needed to make this,” he wrote on Instagram with a photo of the cover art. “The world has been turned upside down and inside out – but a lot of us have had the fortunate opportunity to self reflect, grow and evolve.

“This project is a representation of where my heart and head have been at. It’s honest and pure – it’s me. Take it or leave it – this is how I feel. These Things Happen Too, right around the corner. With that being said, Everything’s Strange Here, June 5th.”

Since 2017’s The Beautiful & Damned album, G-Eazy has released three EPs — so it’s likely this next project will serve as the fourth before These Things Happen Too arrives.

His most recent work was an eight-track set titled Scary Nights, which dropped a few weeks before Halloween 2019. The EP include collaborations with The Game, Moneybagg Yo, French Montana, Gunna, Miguel and more.

Last month, G-Eazy dropped a raunchy visual for his single “Still Be Friends” with Tyga and Tory Lanez. It’s currently unclear whether it will appear on Everything’s Strange Here, These Things Happen Too or neither.
