New Music Friday – New Singles From Lil Yachty w/ Kodak Black, Chris Brown & Young Thug w/ Mulatto, Lil Durk & Future + More

HipHopDX – Whatever January lacked by way of music output, February is more than making up for with a strong list of singles coming in throughout the month. Thankfully, this week is no different as Lil Yachty teams up with the freshly pardoned Kodak Black and Slime & B assemble the dream team to finesse the remix to their “Go Crazy” hit to help inspire some post-Valentine’s Day love.

Elsewhere, Russ clears up any misunderstanding people may have about him and Tory Lanez proves he knows how to keep controversial company with yet another Breezy placement this week.

Here are the top singles from Friday, February 19.

Lil Yachty f. Kodak Black – “Hit Bout It”

As the ink on his pardon papers continues to dry, Kodak Black gets back to work, linking up with the recently resurgent Lil Yachty whose hit streak continues to bump up that Quality Control stock.

Chris Brown & Young Thug f. Mulatto, Lil Durk & Future – “Go Crazy (Remix)”

Chris Breezy and Young Thug continue to celebrate the success of their collab album Slim & B, and go even crazier adding Future, Mulatto and Lil Durk to their latest rendition of the hit single “Go Crazy.”

Russ – “Misunderstood”

Now that he’s completely shaken the snow globe, Russ is back with more bars to ensure there is no misunderstanding about his place in the game.

Tory Lanez f. Chris Brown – “Feels”

Chris Brown makes his second appearance this week, teaming up with the embattled Tory Lanez on the duo’s first collaboration since 2019’s “The Take.”

Coi Leray f. Lil Durk – “No More Parties (Remix)”

Lil Durk wins the week’s award for irony appearing on two different remixes (see above) with two notably opposite messages. The Chicago rapper’s productivity streak since the beginning of the pandemic is nothing short of remarkable and this week, Coi Leray is the beneficiary.

24kGoldn – “3,2,1”

Based off the title alone, this song probably would have been more appropriate for New Year’s Eve, but the way 24kGoldn’s buzz has continued to rise, it certainly won’t deter the fans from enjoying it anyway.

Streetlife & Method Man – “Story Of My Life”

For those not previously aware, Wu-Tang is forever. Method Man and longtime Wu affiliate Streetlife get biographical, trading bars about the journey.

Other notables this week come from Big Stunt with Pooh Shiesty (“Money Gang”), BFB Da Packman with Lil Yachty and Dog (“Honey Pack (Remix)”), Young Dolph with Key Glock (“Case Closed”) and NF (“Clouds”).

Don’t forget to check out this week’s full-length drops and, of course to hit up HipHopDX’s Singles and Videos sections for all the latest releases throughout the week.
