Christine and the Queens have cancelled all upcoming shows.
The project returned earlier this year, sharing the daring, widescreen album ‘Paranoïa, Angels, True Love’ in full. A lavish return, it found room for some ultra-rare Madonna guest spots, emphasising Red aka Chris’ role as creative auteur.
Hitting London as curator of Meltdown, Christine and the Queens stunned fans at the Royal Festival Hall with a sensational, daring, emotionally enriching performance.
Scheduled to continue the touring activities across the span of the year, Red aka Chris was taken ill over the weekend. In a note, his team confirmed that all upcoming shows – scheduled to resume in Montreal, and encompassing a Parisian return – have been cancelled.
The statement reads:
“Red (aka Christine and the Queens) was taken ill today and on advice of doctors forced to make the difficult decision to cancel all remaining tour dates for 2023. The tour was scheduled to resume tonight in Montreal and end in Paris in late November. Refunds are available at point of purchase.”
