Aroop Roy is one of the most inspiring figures in club culture right now. A cross-genre multi-disciplinarian, he can craft sets in all manner of environments, his unique taste and ear for what works with the crowd helping him to burnish a global reputation.
Yet it’s more than that. As a DJ, producer, and label owner, he’s driven by a desire for connection, seeking out sounds that will unite, whether that’s garage or jazz, techno or disco. Put simply: we’ve never left an Aroop Roy set without a beaming smile on our face.
On October 5th we’re linking with the Lost Explorer Mezcal to launch an exclusive Clash Live event strand at STEREO in London. The Covent Garden space will resound to sets from Blue Canariñho, the London-based Love In The Endz selector doing so much to fuse UK club culture with the Spanish/Brazilian flavours he was surrounded by as a child.
Radio 1 guru Charlie Tee will be on hand for a sizzling DJ set, while much-tipped rising force Solomon will perform an ultra-special PA set for this intimate audience.

Aroop Roy is a very exciting addition to the bill, and to celebrate he’s prepared a fantastic DJ mix for Clash. An hour-long deep-dive into his record crates, it leans on the deeper aspects of his sound, while also displaying the eclecticism he has become known for.

“This is a selection of some of the deeper sounds I’ve been playing in my recent sets, ranging from house, garage and techno to afro and amapiano. The mix includes a few unreleased edits and reworks that are currently exclusive to my sets.”
