Daniel Avery will give his influential debut album ‘Drone Logic’ a 10th anniversary re-issue this December.

Honestly, what does the time go…? Daniel Avery released his debut album ‘Drone Logic’ in 2012, a work that followed both a fabric residency and his excellent mix for the London club.

Released to universal acclaim, it was a fantastic, thrilling feast of club ideas, immediately putting Daniel Avery at the forefront of electronic production in this country – the late Andrew Weatherall even described it as “gimmick-free machine-funk of the highest order…”

A 10th anniversary re-issue is timed for December 8th via Erol Alkan’s Phantasy imprint, with Daniel Avery set to host a special event at London’s Rough Trade East on December 12th.

In a note, he reflects…

Time moves at a breakneck pace, no question, but the decade since ‘Drone Logic’, has been filled with so many momentous moments, so many beacons of light I never could have imagined appearing on the horizon that every year has left a deep and unique notch in my memory.

The album gifted me a creative life, one that feels as exciting today as it ever has done. The countless stories I’ve heard from you over the years about how it soundtracked special moments or, further still, affected your path in some way – they all mean so much to me. This is why, above all, I simply want to say thank you to every single person who has been there along the road in some capacity, fans old and new. ‘Drone Logic’ caught fire thanks to word of mouth and that glowing energy I believe continues to live on. We have a lot more news coming around this release so stay tuned.
