Alt-pop renegade DellaXOZ has shared new single ‘Boring’.
The creative all-rounder came of age on the fringes of Manchester, with music becoming her lens to view the world through. Landing with a crash last year, her multi-faceted debut EP ‘THE DELLA VARIANT’ signalled the arrival of something special.
Freshly signed to Communion, DellaXOZ launches a new era with her song ‘Boring’. Lyrically, it’s about shaking off the break-up blues, and the colour-laden music seems to be directly injected with self-belief.
DellaXOZ is making up the rules as she goes along, and we love her for it – a daring spirit in alt-pop, with a punk-like sense of defiance.
Out now, ‘Boring’ is “an anthem that inspires you to celebrate your breakups rather than cry about them.”
Continuing, DellaXOZ comments…
“I’ve written hundreds of unreleased songs about relationships ending and even blaming myself, sometimes for things I’m not even at fault for. I think a lot of people, specifically girls in my generation, relate to doing that whole negative self-talk thing and clinging onto dead situations that don’t serve us, which inspired me to write this pro-breakup song. ‘BORING’ celebrates leaving relationships that have no emotional benefit and ending repetitive cycles of heartbreak as they’re ultimately just boring.”
Tune in now.
