Kam-Bu has shared his new EP ‘Built 2 Last’.

The rapper is moving in different lanes, vowing to spray over any beat that takes his attention. Rooted in UK styles – think grime and drill – he’s also soaking up electronic influences, throwing ad hoc events across London.

Out now, ‘Built 2 Last’ is his most thrilling and eclectic release yet, complete with a dextrous array of guest producers. JD Reid, Jakwob, and Fredwave contribute on beats, while the EP also nabs work from Tom Dinsdale – of rave gurus Audio Bullys.

It’s all held together by Kam-Bu’s wicked persona, and his undeniable charisma. Melding together political observations with some surrealistic word play, he seems to be questioning the role artistry can play in British music today.

Kam-Bu comments…

I wanted to really explore my heritage and how that informed sound system culture on British soil. I’ve been having fun with nuances of different dance music created here and across the water.

The process was extremely enjoyable, and so is performing the tape, I love seeing people dance and skank at my shows rather than only moshing, so you’ll be hearing a lot more of this sound! ‘Built 2 Last‘ the saga continues!

Tune in now.
