Muo Duo have shared their latest single ‘Ruby Rose’.
The track is an igniting listen from start to finish, a youthful escapade from everyday life.
Since landing onto the scene, the New York sibling duo have been fine-tuning their balance between hip-hop, indie, pop and everything in between. ‘Ruby Rose’ is no different, layering dream synths over heavier guitar riffs and warped vocals. Keeping a fun and vibrant aesthetic, the duo pen together a track that chases after what’s out of reach.
The single follows 2022s EP ‘Tasting Menu’ which saw Muo Duo step definitively into their sound. Featuring collaborations with Ausar, Mick Jenkins, Casshan and Guapdad 4000, the project is an ambitious attempt in blurring boundaries. Trained in composition and classical music, Miles From Space offers a unique perspective into contemporary music, using the work of The Beatles, Tyler The Creator and Freddie Hubbard to reflect on style and genre. It’s this exact approach that forms the backdrop of Muo Duo, set on experimenting with the bold and unconventional.
Drenched in quirky euphoria and nostalgia, ‘Ruby Rose’ is a bitter-sweet offering from Muo Duo as they enter the next chapter of their journey.
In conversation, the duo explain: “‘Ruby Rose is about searching for an ideal, whether or not you may find it you leave everything behind.”
