Riskee & The Ridicule have shared new single ‘My Name’.
The band are underground heroes, melding together the righteous fury of punk with the word play of grime. Melding together two outsider sounds, Riskee & The Ridicule have built a stellar reputation with their incendiary live shows.
On record, they’re able to bring this energy into the studio. A new album is slated to land later this year, while Riskee & The Ridicule have booked in a huge European tour for the summer, including a flurry of festivals.
New single ‘My Name’ is an excellent return, a pointed, punchy slice of rabble-rousing rhetoric. A celebration of outlaw artistry, the song melds together Riskee & The Ridicule’s potent sonic brew, finding a forward path amid the noise.
Frontman Scott Picking says “The song is two fingers up to backstabbers, self-righteous keyboard warriors and watered down punks. It’s meant to punch you in the face if you need it, but it’s also a celebration of what the underground has done for music and what it’s capable of doing.”
A full video for ‘My Name’ is out now, featuring stellar live footage caught by Colin O’Reilly. Tune in now.
Riskee & The Ridicule will release new studio album ‘Platinum Statue’ on August 25th.
