Simon Neil and Mike Vennart will join forces as Empire State Bastard.
The project is about a decade in the making, and follows numerous conversations from two close friends. A metal-tainted project that walks on the wild side, Empire State Bastard is joined by a very special guest – Slayer legend Dave Lombardo.
Debut album ‘Rivers Of Heresy’ is out on September 1st, with Empire State Bastard set to preview new material with a special slot at Download Festival.
Says Mike: “I set about making the most fucking poisonous vile music I possibly could, just unabridged hatred in musical form.”
Cheery chum Simon adds: “Lyrically, it’s as misanthropic and nihilistic as I’ve ever written.”
Debut single ‘Harvest’ is out now; catch Empire State Bastard on tour this summer, joined by live bass player Naomi Macleod of Bitch Falcon.
