THALA has shared her new ‘twotwentytwo’ EP in full.
The songwriter caught our attention with a string of excellent singles, each one pivoting between dream pop influences and something new. Reminiscent of Slowdive or those early Deerhunter records, there was also a definite pop streak, an urge to communicate in a direct fashion.
Out now, debut EP ‘twotwentytwo’ brings her work together in one place, a deft six-tracker that moves from the languid pop of Snail Mail, say, through to shoegaze-tinged echoes of peers like Hatchie.
It’s an ace document, one that is accompanied by a freshly shot video for the title track.
