The View fought onstage at their Manchester comeback show last night (May 11th).
The band got back together last year, after a brief hiatus. At the time, Clash spoke to frontman Kyle Falconer, who affirmed: “We always wanted to do it again, it just never felt like the right time. And at the end, it felt as though we were running around in circles, and just doing the same old thing. We started talking a couple of years ago, and even then, it all felt a long time away. Now the album’s done, and we’re all ready to go – we’ve got a fresh head on!”
A UK tour was intended to run this Spring, opening at Manchester’s Deaf Institute on May 10th. The show did not go to plan, however, with Kyle Falconer punching bassist Kieren Webster, who was celebrating his birthday at the gig.

Fan-shot footage has emerged online, with the pair coming to blows. Guitarist Peter Reilly attempts to intervene, while Kyle Falconer can be heard shouting: “I’ll fucking kill you!”
There is no information on what caused the fight to break out.
When you’ve waited for the comeback gig for years & then half way through the lead singer batters the bassist!

Kyle Falconer attempted to play ‘Face For The Radio’ – a fan favourite from their first album – before telling the crowd: “The problem with this band is he wants to sing the songs and he canny, right, so I’ll see you later…”
The show then ended several songs early. The View have not commented on the incident; tonight’s (May 11th) show at London’s Oslo venue has been postponed.
