People are not pleased with Young Thug’s comments on Andre 3000.
Both Thug and the legendary 3 Stacks became trending topics on Thursday (November 26), following a viral clip of Thug talking about him on T.I.’s expediTIously podcast. After explaining he never listened to Dre growing up and had no desire to work with him because he feels the Outkast rapper doesn’t embrace the younger generation, social media had some things to say.
“Young Thug says he hasn’t worked with Andre 3000 because he feels Dre looks down on the new generation. I feel like Thug made that up in his head,” journalist Justin Hunte tweeted.

People were also quick to point out that Dre has sung Thug’s praises multiple times, from interviews to stages.
“Back in 2016 at Phife Dawg’s funeral, Andre 3000 personally shouted out Young Thug when talking about the new generation of rappers changing the tide of music. Let this show that EGO is the death of men,” another tweet read.

During his conversation with Tip, Thug compared his time with 3 Stacks to his time with Elton John, and noted why the latter was a more ideal experience for him.
“The difference between Elton John and Andre is, Elton John like to kiss ass, [where] Andre likes his ass kissed,” Thug said. “He’s just more of a fan type of nigga, to the point I’m like, ‘Nigga, let’s do music!’ He’s like, ‘N-gga, bet.’ Andre more like, ‘This is his secretary.’”

André 3000’s legend should never be called in to question. From his flows, delivery, style and liberation of rap in the south, he will forever be one of the most iconic staples in hip hop’s entire history.
With all due respect, what Young Thug says about him don’t matter. pic.twitter.com/hovz1t57Fs

Andre 3000 literally talked about his love for Thugs vocal range. And said it inspired his verse on Erykah Badu "Hello"
Ignorance breeds hate. https://t.co/t72Xff9QQT

It just shocks me that a rapper from ATL with such an eccentric style doesn’t acknowledge Andre 3000 as an ally. Young Thug attempted to shame someone else’s ego by only revealing his own.
Regardless of what Young Thug says, we know how much Andre means to the south.

Andre 3000 doesn’t bother anybody and this Young Thug interview with T.I. is the thanks he gets in return?!? He’s literally been quoted giving younger artists from ATL props including Young Thug.
