CHICAGO, ILL – Jeremih had been hospitalized with COVID-19 since November, but good news is on the horizon. Chance The Rapper took to Twitter yesterday to let everyone know that the R&B singer would be coming home from the hospital on Friday (December 4).
“I AM FILLED WITH PRAISE RIGHT NOW I JUST HEARD MY BROTHER JEREMIH’S VOICE ON THE PHONE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN ALMOST A MONTH,” Chance wrote. “HE WILL BE OUT THE HOSPITAL TOMORROW WE GIVE ALL GLORY TO THE FATHER IN JESUS NAME.”

He continued to thank everyone at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and those who prayed for Jeremih, “Thank you to the medical staff at northwestern and thank you to everyone who held him up in prayer even when it seemed so grim. We are a testimony.”

At one point Jeremih’s condition looked to be in dire straits, as he was reportedly unresponsive and moved to ICU on a ventilator. Thoughts and prayers began to pour in when the news broke from artists such as 50 Cent, Hitmaka, Fat Joe, 2 Chainz and more.
50 and Jeremih’s team provided an update on the singer’s situation days later saying progress was being made and he was indeed responsive on his road to recovery from COVID-19. TMZ reported Jeremih was moved out of ICU on November 21.
To celebrate Jeremih’s release, Chance The Rapper shared the Christmas-themed “Are U Live” video featuring fellow Chicago natives Jeremih and Valee, which took three years to get clearance for. The holiday track originally appeared on 2016’s Merry Christmas Lil’ Mama mixtape and is now on streaming services as well.
