Lil Durk compared himself to being “Chicago’s JAY-Z” in September 2020 and he still feels that way several months later. Durk posted a photo mimicking JAY-Z holding several golden bottles of Ace of Spades champagne on Monday (February 22).

“Durkio I’m the chicago jay Z,” he captioned.
The fresh photos of Hov shot by Raven B. were unleashed just after Monday morning’s news that the Roc Nation boss had sold 50 percent of his Ace of Spades champagne line to Bernard Arnault’s luxury goods giant LVMH.

The caption references his lyrics from September’s “The Voice,” which landed on the project of the same name in December.

“I’m Durkio, but I’m Chicago JAY-Z,” he raps on the track.
At the time, he was engaged in a war of words with 6ix9ine and the Brooklyn rainbow-haired rapper is still looking to bait Durk into continuing the feud by dissing the late King Von, but the OTF leader isn’t falling for 6ix9ine’s antics this time around.
“The goal is not to go to jail,” Durk wrote earlier in February before reiterating over the weekend. “so y’all will never see me do tuff shit on here to look street ….. I am the streets.”
