Skepta seems to have thrown a bit of shade at Korean rapper Jay Park.
The London artist is the master of a subtle social media post – his photograph of Priti Patel went viral, leaving entire think-pieces in its wake.
Well, he’s clearly in a mischievous mood – Skepta has just re-posted a live clip featuring Jay Park.
Renowned for his role in the growth of South Korean rap, Jay Park interweaves international styles to develop his own approach.
This particular track leans on grime production, and – if we’re honest – the beat isn’t a million miles away from ‘That’s Not Me’.
Skepta’s no doubt throwing a tiny bit of shade here, and it’s caused uproar online with Korean fans diving in to defend their idol.
Yet is it offensive? Surely Skepta taking notice and sending some smoke Jay Park’s way is the ultimate compliment…?
After all, he once grabbed Wiley’s mic live onstage at the O2 – it really could be worse.
Here’s the post.
