Art d’Ecco returns with new single ‘Head Rush’.
The Vancouver artist broke out in 2018, with their album ‘Trespasser’ gaining widespread praise.
Dates with UK psych troupe Temples followed, before going back into the studio to work on something fresh.
New album ‘Standard Definition’ is out on April 23rd, with the glam-infused stomper ‘Head Rush’ online now.
Matching precocious art-rock elements to that preening Marc Bolan stomp, it’s reminiscent of New York Dolls in its androgynous swagger.
Produced by Colin Stewart, the horn section is split in two by that electrifying guitar solo.
Art d’Ecco comments…
“It’s a song about the head rush of our youth – nostalgia is a powerful drug, it distorts and reframes the past, often reconciling our memories into one place for easy access and to better suit our current disposition or state of mind. I wanted all the hallmarks of a classic rock song – the kind of music that used to blast from the kitchen radio at the summer jobs I’d worked at as a teen.”
Tune in now.
