Björk will team with Iceland Airwaves for three special live-streamed orchestral shows.
Iceland is now re-opening after the COVID-19 pandemic, and the performances are designed to be part of this movement.
The iconic songwriter will collaborate with over 100 Icelandic musicians, while each concert will showcase instrumental arrangements of scores from her catalogue.
Björk will dip into her past in a radical way, with the live-streamed shows taking place at Reykjavik’s Harpa Hall on August 9th, 15th, and 23rd.
Tickets are available for pre-order on July 2nd at 10am (Icelandic time), with general sale commencing on July 3rd, 10am (Icelandic time). Tickets will be priced in five tiers, starting at 4.990 ISK.
Proceeds from all three shows will go towards Kvennaathvarfid – a charity that supports women and immigrants of different origin within Iceland.
