Fans of Download Festival have raised more than £75,000 for the NHS.
The goliath rock and metal event will sadly not take place in 2020, with coronavirus making the festival untenable.
Joining a groaning list of postponements, the Download team decided to flip that negativity upside down and help out the NHS.
A limited edition t-shirt design went on sale, and has so far raised just over £75,000 – a huge contribution at a vital time.
The amount will be donated to NHS Charities Together, and as a special bonus Download will continue making the tees, and giving the funds to the health service.
And don’t get too downhearted – Download returns next summer, June 4th – 6th.
