The dates for this year’s Hyundai Mercury Prize have been announced.
The spread of coronavirus has placed question marks against every public event in the country, but the Hyundai Mercury Prize has – provisionally, at least – opted to continue.
The dates for this year’s competition have been confirmed, with the shortlist being confirmed on July 23rd.
Subject to government guidelines, the winner of the Hyundai Mercury Prize will be announced at a ceremony in London’s eventim Apollo on September 10th.
The BBC will cover the event on television and radio.
Last year’s winner was South London’s very own Dave, with his modern classic ‘Psychodrama’.
