Indie pop four-piece Kashmere swoop back into view with new single ‘Someone’.
The band recorded the track at Eve Studios, locked in Stockport – not far from where they grew up, in fact.
The studio is a treasure trove of vintage kit, and it’s a space that has allowed Kashmere to overhaul their sound.
Spotting an antique Moog in the corner, the group seized upon it, dusted it off, and began recording.
‘Someone’ emerged from these sessions, and it finds Kashmere channeling the glitz and arena ambitions of The 1975 while applying some retro charm.
We can hear aspects of Talk Talk’s chart phase at work in its artful songwriting, while Kashmere – as always – apply a deeply personal message.
The band comment…
“‘Someone’ is about chasing a lifestyle, a relationship or simply a headspace that perhaps isn’t suited to you.”
Tune in now.
