An MC intricately connected to the streets that raised him, the London rap artist is informed by the landscapes and people he knows best.
New single ‘Home’ is his most direct statement yet, with Knucks focussing on what life is like for those growing up on the wrong side of the tracks.
With some subtle digs at Boris Johnson, it’s a tale of poverty, violence, and fear, but also bound by camaraderie and community.
‘Home’ is explicit in its love for those kids, with Knucks reflecting on the breaks life can give people.
Directed by Asylum 33, the video is a journey through crime in the UK, and how – for too many young people – violence can quickly become a way of life.
Knucks comments: “‘Home’ is a story of how simple dispute between two young people can lead to the growing issue of knife crime in inner-city London. It also puts a face, emotions and person behind these actions opposed to just a detached mugshot the media usually shows us.”
He states: These are real people not mindless criminals.”
