Low have shared a glacial take on Bob Dylan’s evergreen ‘Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door’.
The slowcore group were recruited by UK magazine Uncut for their new covermount, a celebration of Dylan’s work.
Low opted to cover ‘Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door’, originally released on the soundtrack of Pat Garrett and Billy The Kid.
Dylan also starred in Peckinpah’s flawed but riveting revisionist Western, and the ragged simplicity of the theme perfectly suits Low.
The slow-paced, stately, and hugely emotional cover features on the cover mount, which also finds space for music from Courtney Marie Andrews, The Flaming Lips, Cowboy Junkies, Richard Thompson, Low, Frazey Ford, The Weather Station, Weyes Blood, Thurston Moore, and more.
