Spanish festival Primavera Sound won’t be going ahead in 2021.
The award-winning event had planned for a 2021 instalment, attempting to work within safety parameters to produce a weekend of music.
The original dates of the festival – June 2nd – 6th – now won’t work, with organisers citing “the uncertainty surrounding the legal framework of large scale events…”
In turn, the team have confirmed that Primavera Sound won’t be taking place this summer.
Thanking fans for their patience, Primavera Sound confirmed that the Spanish event will return in 2022.
All tickets will roll over to next year, with the team promising “yes, really, we will dance together again…”
Here’s the statement in full.
We will make it doubly good in 2022. Because yes, really, we will dance together again… and like never before.
