The Cork born artist recently graduated from BIMM in West London, having spent time studying her craft.
Linking with classic artists and current chart stars alike, Ruby Ivy has been gradually finding her own forward path.
New single ‘Made To Be Yours’ is online now, a beautiful return that was sculpted during lockdown.
Taking the track from its initial melodic seed through to the finished product, Ruby tried to find “something modern with a classic feel…”
The visuals build on this, and find the Cork artist going through the arc of recovery following the demise of a relationship.
She says…
“I wanted the video to depict a journey of reflection, on heartbreak and the association of places and things I shared with my ex. Those painful, kick-to-the-stomach reminders that hit you out of the blue. Like you’re sitting in a bar and cannot stop thinking about that date you had there, almost seeing a mirage of him in front of you. The memories of a break up are things that tend to hang around a little longer than the break up itself…”
