Texas will release new album ‘Hi’ on May 28th.
The Scottish group’s 10th album, it was signalled by a brand new single just before Christmas, co-starring the mighty Wu-Tang Clan.
Out on May 28th, this new album illustrates the band’s depth, and features collaborations with Richard Hawley and Altered Images’ icon Clare Grogan.
Singer Sharleen Spiteri comments:
“Our excitement at finding this treasure trove of songs collided with our excitement back then and, unplanned, new songs started coming. You could say we were inspired by ourselves!”
New single ‘Mr Haze’ is online now, melding a fondness for classic Motown with a clear appreciation for Donna Summer’s golden disco run.
There’s a cinematic sweep, too, with Texas name-checking Morricone in the press note.
Tune in now.
‘Hi’ will be released on May 28th.
