Lord Apex is moving with speed.
The London rapper absorbs elements of every sound he comes across, pitting darker UK styles against some ambitious US choices.
Somehow, he’s developed something totally unique, completely his own.
Traversing the Atlantic for his new single, Lord Apex reaches a fresh level, pushing his sound still further.
‘UK Shit’ teams Lord Apex against V Don, a New York producer whose work with A$AP Rocky, Dave East, and the Griselda Records crew has won him acclaim.
The single is spun from upcoming joint album ‘Supply & Demand’ – out on September 4th – and it’s a neat fusion of two distinct voices.
Lord Apex comes to the fore, a swaggering yet ominous performance that underpins his essential skills as an MC.
The full black and white visual is loosely inspired ‘All Fall Down’, absorbing those Kanye West influences but exchanging Chicago for London grit.
Directed by Milo Blake and shot in White City, West London, you can check out ‘UK Shit’ below.
