William The Conqueror have shared a new single, alongside the first part of a brand new podcast series.
The band opened 2020 in some style, sharing guitar pop of real depth and nuance.
With touring now largely off the agenda, the band have focussed on other aspects of creativity, including a fresh podcast.
New single ‘Jesus Died A Young Man’ is the first part of their new endeavour, a rejection of “bad teachers and good faith”.
Says Ruarri: “‘Jesus Died A Young Man’, far from being a dig at religion or Christianity, is more about bad teachers and good faith. It’s a very personal story from my time as a lost and easily influenced teen that strayed into the world of worship looking for a place to hide, but ultimately saw the light elsewhere.”
Alongside this, William The Conqueror have shared the opening segments of a new podcast series – spread across two seasons, it’s kind of an audio book, and displays the band’s affection for word play and emotional communication.
