21 Savage continues to rack up tallies in the win column. The Atlanta rapper is teaming up with Louis Vuitton men’s wear artistic director Virgil Abloh to star in the luxury brand’s new men’s summer capsule collection campaign.
On Saturday (March 13), 21 Savage and Abloh posted a video of the new campaign on their Instagram pages. Set on Venice Beach, 21’s “Close My Eyes” plays in the background while the rapper and others wear several of Abloh’s new pieces with the luxury brand.
“Conveying a sense of the infinite—a recurrent theme in Virgil Abloh’s collections—this wardrobe is embodied and highlighted by the American rapper 21 Savage’s casual energy and is a reference to West Coast skaters and artists,” the French fashion house wrote in a press release. “Spring gives way to a colorful, lively season, galvanized by creative youth, lovers of freedom and comfort, driven by their sunny mood and the vital movement of the ocean.”
The pieces are meant to “convey emotions diffused with a sort of joyful nostalgia mingling with a sense of endless possibilities.”

The men’s capsule collection is inspired by California’s art and skater culture and includes vibrant, watercolor print bucket hats, pullovers, shorts, indigo pinstriped button-downs, and a crewneck, among other lightweight pieces.
Some of the articles of clothing also have environmentally-conscious designs, with 100 percent of Louis Vuitton’s products pledged to have an eco-design strategy by 2025. The new men’s summer capsule collection arrives on March 19.
Abloh is no stranger to working with rappers and it’s not his first time teaming up with Savage. The Savage Mode II rapper modeled for Off-White’s AW16 lookbook in 2016.
