50 Cent wants Love & Hip Hop star Teairra Mari to explain her finances under oath. According to legal docs obtained by Radar, the Power mogul is attempting to collect $50,000 he is reportedly owed and claims she’s been stalling on paying.
The documents demand Mari appear before a judge with bank account info in hand to explain her finances under oath. Mari sued the Queens legend in 2018 for reposting a leaked sex tape featuring the VH1 star to his social media accounts.
A judge sided with Fif a year later, throwing out the lawsuit and demanding Mari pay the rapper $30,000 in legal fees. The additional $20,00 has come from other sanctions that have accumulated over the years, but regardless Mari hasn’t paid a dime since the ruling. She has also continued to dodge the rapper as he’s tried to collect her paychecks and bank statements.
Mari “has been the subject of repeated sanctions by this Court but has been seemingly unswayed by such actions and has not paid any money towards the Judgement or sanctions against her, making the increased penalties associated with a finding of contempt necessary,” Fif’s attorney wrote in the latest filing.
If a judge signs off on this, the order will reportedly read “If you fail to appear at the time and place specified in this order, you may be subject to arrest and punishment for contempt of court, and the court may make an order requiring you to pay the reasonable attorney fees incurred by the judgment creditor in this proceeding.” 50 also said Mari should be found in contempt for ignoring the initial ruling altogether.
The latest filing comes after 50 reignited his feud with Mari on social media back in January, reposting a photo from one of her press conferences with her celebrity attorney to remind her and his 27 million followers that he has yet to be paid.
“Remember this, Smh she better give me my money,” he wrote in the caption. “Before it start to feel like she went to college and her student loans catching up with her.”
