A new eight-part series focused on Lizzo is getting ready to drop on Amazon Prime. On Thursday (February 17), Amazon Studios gave a first look at Lizzo’s Watch Out for the Big Grrrls, which is set to premiere on March 25 and focuses on Lizzo as she hunts down confident and spectacular women to join the ranks of her Big Grrrls touring squad. 10 promising women will be moving into the Big Grrrls House where they must showcase their talents and prove they have what it takes to join Lizzo on her world tour in May.
To aid in this search Lizzo will be utilizing the talents of legendary choreographer Tanisha Scott and Big Grrrls members Chawnta’ Marie Van, Shirlene Quigley and Grace Holden. Also joining in this search along the way will be movement expert Rashida KhanBey Miller and Grammy-nominated R&B singer SZA. The series will be directed by Nneka Onuorah and Lizzo’s production company “Lizzo Bangers” will handle production alongside Amazon.
Lizzo’s latest show comes as she continues her reign as the unstoppable body-positivity queen in 2022. On Saturday (February 12), the “Rumors” artist was stopped by TMZ paparazzi while she was signing autographs for fans and was reminded of several nude photoshoots she’d taken on Instagram and wondered if a spread in Playboy was also on the horizon.
“Yeah, tell Cardi to call me!” she exclaimed, referring to Cardi B’s newfound role as Playboy‘s creative director. “I love Playboy, yeah I’ll do it!”
