Even as Ari Lennox provides clarity on her recent arrest in Amsterdam, it seems the Dreamville singer is still both upset and confused by the events that took place.
In a tweet on Saturday (December 4th), the Shae Butter Baby vocalist expressed her remorse behind the situation, making it clear that she merely wishes she could change how she reacted to the mistreatment she was facing.
“My only regret is my reaction to the racism and discrimination I experienced,” Ari confessed. “I would like to explain what happened to me but KLM has made it clear that they never cared to hear it from jump. It’s painful being silenced like this. It’s painful what I went through. I’m not ok.”

Earlier this week during an emotionally charged Twitter rant, the Washington, D.C. native claimed she was racially profiled by security who “hate Black people,” during her arrest at an airport in Amsterdam.
“Fuck Amsterdam security. They hate Black people,” she wrote in one of tweets. “I just want to go home. I’ll never leave my house again. Wow. They’re arresting me,” she continued. “I’m being arrested in Amsterdam for reacting to a woman racially profiling me.”
Dutch Military police picked up J. Cole’s protègè for disturbing public order, being aggressive toward an airline official and public intoxication and are purportedly investigating alleged threats Ari made toward the airline official.
According to a report from Reuters, Ari Lennox was initially detained because the police unit that encountered her, “found a woman full of emotions that wouldn’t calm down.”
