Azealia Banks has been making the most out of her Twitter fingers after Elon Musk allowed the controversial musician to return to the platform, and took to the Twittersphere to share relatively positive thoughts on Cardi B, whom she’s openly disliked in the past.
“Yo Bodak Yellow is really still a TOP TIER female rap record,” Azealia wrote. “It’s so fucking NEW YORK.” A fan then pointed out Azealia’s switch up, considering she previously called out Cardi for speaking out on American issues and not issues in the Dominican Republic, but Banks found the fan’s inquiry humorous.
“It’s mad funny how fans be thinking they know what goes on behind the scenes. Or think artists care about what y’all think about industry we work in. I’ve always thought bodak yellow was fire. Plus cardi b’s personal, mental and cultural glow up is solid.”

Another fan chimed in to point out Azealia was basically calling the “WAP” rapper an industry plant, which Azealia agreed with.
“She was an industry plant lmao,” she wrote. “But sis took advantage of the opportunity and rode that bitch the fuck out, assembled the right team, seized the moment and made herself a cultural mainstay. U have to respect it.”

Azealia then pivoted her attention to Iggy Azealia, who many saw as an industry plant.
“Sis really was supposed to use T.I for whatever he was worth, drop the blaccent – give fancy and a slew of other kesha type joints, then give fashion mogul Victoria Beckham KUNT,” Banks wrote. “But she’s giving the single mom thing she really thought whiteness would shield her from.”
She continued, “Lmao and ur dumb ass is really trying it. House music is a black American art form. All that music u think is native to the UK is lifted from black American groups like underground resistance, drexciya etc. Donna Summer is literally the first techno artist in history.”

Azealia has spared no one since being allowed back on Twitter in April. Prior to this opinionated rant, Azealia also shared another hot take on the state of Hip Hop.
“Knowing that most MEN and WOMEN IN THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY will exchange sexual favors for job opportunities is not news. The difference is: these white actors who are sucking dick for lead roles aren’t shooting and killing one another!!!” she wrote.
Prior to that, she took to Instagram to revel in a weird fantasy about bearing Kanye West’s children.“We would most likely have a Sagittarius baby as payback for the both of us talking shit about JAY-Z,” she wrote. “We would make the art world stop. It would be another 50 years before anyone was adept enough to cause a shift.”
