Detroit, MI – Benny The Butcher is dealing with a medical emergency that caused him to cancel his Detroit show slated for Wednesday night (October 27) at Saint Andrews Hall.
The Griselda rapper took to his Instagram page early Wednesday to let his fans know their tickets would be good for a later date and provide an update on his health with the emergency being unrelated to COVID-19.
“Due to a non-COVID-related medical emergency, tonight’s Benny The Butcher show at Saint Andrew’s Hall will be postponed to a TBD date that is being worked on as we speak,” he wrote. “Hang on to your tickets and we will notify all ticket holders of the new show date as soon as it is confirmed.”

The post included a disheartening photo of Benny The Butcher shirtless laying in a hospital bed breathing through an oxygen mask and body hooked up to various machines. It also looks as if he’s having blood drawn and an inhaler is in front of him at the time of the pic.
Well-wishes began pouring into Benny’s comment section with the likes of DJ Premier, Reese LaFlare, Mickey Factz, Boldy James and more sending their thoughts and prayers.
“Strengthen Up Butcher! Love and Prayers To A Quick Bounce Back,” Preemo said.
As part of his The Burden of Plugs Tour, Benny is scheduled for shows in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Chicago this week but their status remains unknown as he deals with his health issues.
