Cardi B made an internet faux pas on Tuesday (October 13) when she “accidentally” uploaded a topless photo of herself to her Instagram Stories. Although she quickly deleted it, it was already too late. Savvy social media users screenshot the salacious photo and started circulating it online.
Now, the Grammy Award-winning rapper is responding to the “oops” moment with a Twitter post, reminding people she was once an exotic dancer, so it’s really not that serious.
“Huhhh. Lord. Lord, why the fuck you have to make me so fuckin‘ stupid and retarded?” she says. “Why? Why, why, why? You know what? I’m not even gonna beat myself up about it. I’m just gonna eat my breakfast. I’m just gonna eat my breakfast, right? I’m gonna eat my breakfast and then I’m gonna go to a party. Because I’m not even gonna think about it.
“I am not going to think about it, OK? No, I’m not. I won’t. It is what it is. Shit happened. Um, fuck it. It’s not even the first time. I mean, I used to fuckin‘ be a stripper, so whatever. Ay dios mio.”

Cardi is on the heels of an extended birthday weekend that started in Las Vegas. The “WAP” spitter invited a slew of friends and family, including her estranged husband Offset, to a party to celebrate her 28th birthday — despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
On Monday (October 12), Cardi posted a photo of herself drunk and facedown on the ground with dozens of people surrounding her and just one person wearing a mask. There was also zero social distancing happening at the event. Unsurprisingly, she received a healthy amount of backlash with comments ranging from “Um you know there’s a pandemic, right?” to “so celebrities don’t think social distancing applies to them too?”
Nevertheless, the festivities continued. Offset showed up with a brand new $330,000 Rolls-Royce for Cardi and was rewarded with a kiss, sparking rumors of a reconciliation. She later admitted she was still intoxicated in a video she uploaded to Instagram at the top of the week.
She wrote in the caption, “My walk on dumb cause I’m still drunk.” Perhaps the accidental upload was another birthday casualty.
