Cardi B’s can thank her teenage intuition for not following one of Hip Hop’s growing trends.
On Friday (July 2), the soon-to-be mother of two took to Twitter to relay to fans how grateful she was she didn’t get anything inked on her face when she was coming of age.
“Everyday I’m thankful at the fact that ain’t get this face tatt I wanted when I was 16,” she wrote.

When asked what kind of face tattoo she would have gotten, Cardi alluded to a popular star tattoo trend which kicked off in the early to mid-2000s.
“Little stars from the top of my eyebrow swirling down to my jaw,” she wrote with shame.

Had Cardi followed through with her teenage desire, she would have followed the likes of numerous names in Hip Hop with face tattoos including Lil Wayne, Post Malone, DaBaby, Young Thug and countless others, including all three members of the Migos.
The revelation of a potential face tattoo arrives a week after Cardi revealed a belly bump while on stage at the 2021 BET Awards. Later in the night, she shared maternity photos on Instagram, highlighting she and her husband Offset were overjoyed their second child was on the way.
