Joey Bada$$ and Chance the Rapper traveled to Venice, Italy recently to party with a group of their peers as part of the Venice Bienelle festivities and tease some upcoming content on Instagram. The first of several videos features Chance and Joey cruising in a motorboat through the historic canals of Venice doing their worst Super Mario Brothers impersonations.
“Venezia, you see us. Mama Mia, it’s-a-me, Mario,” Chance said in a mock Italian accent waving to onlookers. Afterward, the two MCs spent time roaming graffiti-covered alleyways taking stills and videos for an undisclosed video. Their day was capped off with a huge celebration for The Black Venice Alliance, presumably to kick off the 59th International Art Exhibition taking place in the city between now and November.
“I had the honor of throwing the best party of #biennale last night in the company of the greatest artists in the world,” Chance wrote on his Instagram. “We laughed, we danced, we drank & we loved on each other. Over 200 hundred black folks from the US to the UK To the Islands to the Continent: all at the top of their game without ego or agenda.”
He continued, “Sorry to anyone who couldn’t get in. But honestly THANK YOU to everyone who embraced us and welcomed us this week. Thank you God for keeping us safe. oh yeah new ???coming in May – The BVA,” wrote Chance on his IG account.

The social media posts, which appeared April 24, show a great deal of levity and brotherhood between Chance and Joey. They also allude to linking with individuals from across the world coming together to celebrate the rappers and their collective successes.
Joey and Chance first collaborated on 2013’s “Wendy N Becky” and hopefully have something new together in the works, based on their recent activity.
Chance The Rapper has been teasing a return, releasing his new single “Child Of God” in March and recently performed the song live on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. Watch the performance below.
