The City Girls are having a rough week. Just a few days after the father of Yung Miami’s son passed away, the two faced some career troubles with their upcoming studio album leaking online.
A Dropbox link of the LP circulated via social media on Friday (June 19), but the download no longer works. Still, snippets of multiple tracks have popped up on Twitter along with full versions appearing on sites hosting bootleg content.
Amid the leak, Miami vented her frustrations on Instagram.
“I swear to god y’all don’t understand how I’m feeling right now,” she wrote. “I’m so fucking sad! Y’all think everything is a game! NOBODY IS PLAYING.”
She added in the caption, “Fuck y’all dead ass!!!!!”

Miami continued to air out her feelings via IG Stories. Fellow City Girls member JT joined in by reposting one of her rap partner’s statements and sharing one of her own.
“I’m so fuckin mad ppl are so fucking evil y’all leave me the fuck alone!” Miami wrote. “Ion trust nobody! Disgusted.”
JT noted, “FUCK NIGGAS GET EXPOSED EVERYDAY!”

Over on Twitter, JT lashed out at some users commenting on the leak. One person’s thoughts about a Doja Cat collaboration titled “Pussy Talk” elicited a heated response.
“Bitch fuck you!” JT wrote, prompting the fan to delete the tweet.
Quality Control Music CEO Pierre “Pee” Thomas also reacted to the City Girls leak, albeit with a bit more restraint. The duo’s boss acknowledged it wasn’t an ideal situation but said Miami and JT would make the best of it.
“Gone always find a positive out of a negative situation,” he wrote. “Fuck a hacker/leaker, hater and critics. Keep Goin.”
No official title has been announced for City Girls’ next album, but JT previously suggested it would be called Point Blank Period in a February interview with Rap Radar. The leak was labeled as City On Lock.
The duo’s last LP, Girl Code, was released in 2018.
