KamNutty was fatally shot on December 10, 2021 in the 2300 block of Century Drive. A first responder and another good samaritan rendered aid until a medic arrived, but KamNutty was pronounced dead at the scene less than an hour after the incident. His death marked the 187th homicide in the Ohio metropolis last year and was preceded by another man’s murder just an hour later, the 188th homicide.
Another Ohio rapper, Boog The Bandit, met a similar fate last May when she was fatally shot. Authorities arrested the first suspect, 22-year-old Kyson Murphy, the following month. He was charged with murder and aggravated robbery. Police then arrested a second suspect in August 2021, 19-year-old Jumada Williams, but 17-year-old Sincere McIntyre remains on the run. Both were charged with murder and aggravated robbery.
KamNutty and Boog The Bandit’s murder added to the unnecessarily long list of violent deaths in 2021. Young Dolph, Drakeo The Ruler and Slim 400 were among the dozens of rappers were shot or stabbed, ending the year on a very sour note.
