Chicago, IL – The fallout from DaBaby’s homophobic remarks made at Rolling Loud Miami continues. On Sunday (August 1), Lollapalooza organizers announced via Twitter the KIRK rapper would not be performing at the massive festival.
“Lollapalooza was founded on diversity, inclusivity, respect, and love,” the statement began. “With that in mind, DaBaby will no longer be performing at Grant Park tonight. Young Thug will now perform at 9:00pm on the Bud Light Seltzer Stage, and G Herbo will perform at 4:00pm on the T-Mobile Stage.”

The Chicago-based festival returned for 2021 at Grant Park with performances from Megan Thee Stallion, Post Malone, Tyler, The Creator, Roddy Ricch, Freddie Gibbs and more.
The Blame It On Baby artist has caught heat from all angles since his controversial appearance at the popular Miami festival.
“Levitating” collaborator Dua Lipa pulled her support from him as the solo version of her single has entered the U.S. Top 10 charts on iTunes. He was dropped from a collaboration with fashion company boohooMAN and earned the wrath of Questlove, Madonna and Elton John, among others.
Lollapalooza’s decision is the second festival this year where DaBaby was previously announced as a performer but won’t participate.
Manchester’s Parklife Festival announced he’d no longer be performing at the UK-based event, but a rep for the rapper suggested he wouldn’t be involved due to a spike in COVID-19 cases overseas when the festival lineup was originally released.
