While some of DaBaby’s antics have pulled the focus away from his music, he still put numbers on the boards in 2021. The Charlotte native was one of many artists who shared their Spotify “Wrapped” stats on Wednesday (December 1), and he laughed off cancel culture as he flexed his nearly three billion streams on the platform.
“My cancelled ass,” DaBaby jokingly captioned while referencing the fallout from his homophobic rant at Rolling Loud Miami over the summer.

The caption drew a series of laughing emojis from YG and many others in the comments section. Even without dropping a full-length album, which was seemingly delayed due to the controversy, DaBaby still put up 2.9 billion streams with nearly 146 million listeners in 178 countries.
DaBaby hasn’t totally put the Rolling Loud controversy behind him just yet, though. Despite apologizing for his comments and meeting with several HIV/AIDS organizations in August, the 29-year-old rapper hasn’t made good on any of his promises to donate to their causes, it was revealed this week.
“The onus is now on him if he chooses to convert his misinformation into allyship by supporting the work of the Black AIDS Institute and other people of color-led HIV organizations,” said Black AIDS Institute consultant Pavni Guharoy.
DaBaby doesn’t seem too bothered by the backlash, though, having recently released the Back On My Baby Jesus Sh!t Again EP and kicked off his Live Show Killa Tour. Fans can expect him to drop his much-delayed album in 2022.
