The release date is in. Without a 2021 heavyweight lead single, DJ Khaled announced on Tuesday night (April 27) that his Khaled Khaled album would be dropping this Friday (April 30).
“This my name,” he wrote. “This is my legacy. This my COVER. Time to bring MORE LIGHT. #KHALEDKHALED THIS FRIDAY APRIL 30!”

Of course, Khaled has both of his children Asahd and Aalahm on board as executive producers for the his 12th studio album. Asahd has been an EP for his last two albums Grateful and Father of Asahd. With no star-studded single this year, it looks as if Khaled could be using his Drake summer 2020 two-pack of “GREECE” and “POPSTAR” as a stimulus to pad the stats going into the LP.
Khaled is assembling a versatile cast to help him complete Khaled Khaled with guest appearances expected from Migos, Meek Mill, H.E.R., Post Malone, Justin Timberlake and Justin Bieber.
“My brothers I’m gonna call you back! I’m mixing BOTH of y’all’s VOCALS!” Khaled wrote. “@justinbieber I just got done with the mix a few days ago get ready for mastering! And @justintimberlake I just sent the record we did together off to mix. My brothers I will call you RIGHT BACK! I’m in ALBUM MODE !!!! #99% DONE. KHALED KHALED THE ALBUM COMING.”

Khaled took home his first Grammy win in 2020 with the Nipsey Hussle and John Legend-assisted “Higher.” 2019’s Father of Asahd broke his streak of two consecutive No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200, so he’ll look to start that up again.
Keep an eye out for this post to be updated at 3 p.m. ET with Khaled Khaled‘s full tracklist.
