DJ Khaled entered the Hip Hop industry as a local disc jockey in Miami, Florida, and over the years has evolved into a full-blown record executive. However, Khaled also spent time crafting beats for himself and others as a producer.
On Tuesday (February 1), the We The Best boss decided to remind people he still gets busy behind the boards by posting a video of him doing precisely that. The clip shows Khaled sitting in front of his prized MPC3000 beat machine and cooking up a beat from scratch.

DJ Khaled’s on-the-spot production rattled speakers with its pounding bass and percussion, but some fans weren’t impressed by the beat and proceeded to roast the Major Key don for his dated-sounding production chops.
“Tell him go find KRSONE & give it to him cause nobody else want that shit,” one fan joked, while another added, “1984 techno ass beat fuck wrong wit this lemon.”
A third person likened to beat to a Run-DMC song while someone else referenced The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air theme song, commenting, “Now, this is a story all about how My life got flipped-turned upside down.”

Even though his production skills may need a little improvement, DJ Khaled isn’t letting that stop him from working on new music. Last month, the Miami mogul hinted at another collaboration with Drake in 2022.
“Me and Drake — first of all, we brothers, that’s family,” he said in a social media clip. “And 2022, if you’re [asking] does Khaled and Drake have something? Of course, we’re always going to have something … But it gotta come out a certain way.”
Khaled also hit the studio with Kanye West for a sneaker-shredding session last month, announcing to the world, “The Ye vocals are in.”
