Hip Hop and reality TV go hand-in-hand and it seems like the connection grows even deeper with each new show. The latest Hip Hop addition to a show comes from Marriage Boot Camp: Hip Hop Edition, where Three 6 Mafia’s Gangsta Boo will join the cast.
The announcement was made on Wednesday (March 30), when Gangsta Boo took to her Instagram with a post revealing her appearance on season 17 of Marriage Boot Camp. The participants on the show were taken aback seeing Gangsta Boo and her boyfriend Emmett enter the crib, but those weren’t the only people who were surprised to see her.
Fellow Three 6 Mafia member DJ Paul saw Boo’s post and decided to leave his two cents in the comment section regarding her arrival. According to DJ Paul, people could feel the awkwardness in the air brought upon by reality television, and Boo couldn’t hide it.
“That anxiety kicked in quik,” DJ Paul wrote. “Wheres the Alc.”
Gangsta Boo replied, “u know ME LMAO.”

Although she was a bit anxious on Marriage Boot Camp: Hip Hop Edition, Gangsta Boo wasn’t showing any signs of stress during the Verzuz battle between Three 6 Mafia and Bone Thugs-n-Harmony in December. Things got feisty when a brawl broke out after Bizzy Bone hurled a water bottle in Boo’s direction. The rapper spoke to VladTV about the incident claiming she didn’t like what happened.
“It was the throwing stuff at me,” she said. “I don’t care what you was going to say or what you didn’t say. The throwing stuff … everybody has triggers, and that was a scary moment to see my multi-millionaire friends … I don’t even remember it. I remembered it when I watched it.”
