KXNG Crooked doesn’t think an Eminem and Busta Rhymes Verzuz is the move. On Tuesday night (January 25), the former Slaughterhouse juggernaut fired off a tweet that cast doubt on the fantasy lineup.
“I’m not sold on Busta Vs Em,” he wrote. “I feel like it makes sense to people because they both know how to rap fast but after that happens the catalogs go in two completely different directions imo.” He added, “Don’t sleep on club bangers when on the Verzuz platform. They do damage in rounds.”

Dr. Dre instigated the discussion on Sunday (January 23) when he post a clip of Eminem rapping circles around his competition in the “Godzilla” video to his Instagram account. He wrote in the caption, “Marshall Mathers vs Who???!” The Hip Hop mogul’s post was met with over 23,000 comments and over two million likes as fans salivated at the thought of Eminem even hopping in the Verzuz arena.
Among them was Verzuz co-founder Swizz Beatz who immediately remarked, “BUSTA!!!!!! Let’s go” alongside some flame emojis. Other potential matchups included JAY-Z, Lil Wayne and Twista. But the always outspoken Charlamagne Tha God doesn’t think Eminem stands a chance in a Verzuz battle. As he said on his Brilliant Idiots podcast last year, “Em don’t have the songs like that. Em can rap and we like Em as a rapper, [but] Future washes Eminem in a Verzuz. Em don’t got nothing that slaps like [6ix9ine’s] ‘GUMMO’ to these young kids. Yo, Young Thug washes Eminem in a Verzuz.”
As for Fat Joe, he would likely put his money on Busta Rhymes to emerge victorious in a battle against Eminem as well. In September 2021, the Terror Squad rapper asserted people were too intimidated by Busta Rhymes’ talent to step into the Verzuz arena with him, including himself.
“Fat Joe scared to do Verzuz with Busta Rhymes and so is everybody else,” he said. “You gotta understand, sometimes you ever notice — you seen boxers and they knock everybody out? People be scared to fight those boxers. Busta Rhymes is gonna outrap, outperform anybody who goes up in a Verzuz with him. That’s a fact. Yo, Busta Rhymes nobody wanna get in there with you, man. You might have to be an honorary — they gotta give you the check for no reason.”
