Drake has given many a “stimulus” package to artists by guest features or shoutouts on tracks. After the 6 God decided to taunt a man on Instagram over jokes regarding his son Adonis by telling him his wife needed “excitement,” the man has gone to extraordinary lengths to once more get Drake’s attention, even hinting at a possible sit down between the three of them.
In a classic episode of “You, Me and She,” TMZ Hip Hop sat down with a man named Cedric Bowden and his wife Toni days after Drake decided he wasn’t for play about his son and decided to stick up for supportive NBA fathers like Lavar Ball and Tee Morant.
“For one, everyone knows or thinks Drake has ghostwriters,” Cedric Bowden told the outlet on why he chose the taunt. “I’m a fan of Meek Mill so when Meek said it, I truly believed it but honestly, I didn’t think that comment would go anywhere. Once it did, I was like, ‘Oh crap, what did I do?’ So here we are now.”
When asked whether he went too far bringing up Adonis, Cedric shot back with an objection of his own.
“I think it was too far for him to bring in my wife!” he laughed.
Drake’s DM to Toni Bowden not only shot up her Instagram followers into the thousands, but it also sent social media into letting Cedric have it, hoping he would let the issue go and focus on his wife. According to Toni, however, there are no issues between her and her husband.
“I have so much fun in my life, ever since I married this man. But lucky me!” she said.
It’s unclear whether the troll games between Drake and Cedric will continue, but toward the end of the conversation, Cedric did manage to show his love for Drizzy’s Certified Lover Boy album and Toni proclaimed the three of them should meet. It’s unclear if such a meet-up would occur over Instagram trash talk, but good for the Bowden’s taking a random online encounter in stride.
