Quality control rapper Duke Deuce has returned to further advocate for the resurgence of crunk music with his latest albumFollowing the release of his Crunkstar album on Friday (June 17), the “Crunk Ain’t Dead” artist joined forces with his female Memphis rap counterpart Gorilla in the official music video for their “Just Say That” collaboration. In addition to fully personifying his “DUKEThoben” pseudonym alias, Duke Deuce and Glorilla both bring a new flavor to old- chool parking lot pimping in the high-energy video, which the 30-year-old rapper revealed via Twitter he directed himself.

Several other artists were also impressed by Glorilla’s guest verse on the record, including Chicago vocalist Jean Deaux, who commended Duke Deuce for recruiting bubbling Black female artists for his massive 20-song project.

“Duke deuce that nigga for havin so many raw ass black girls on his album. Whole project solid,” Jean Deaux wrote.

In addition to Glorilla, who recently received co-signs from Big30, Latto, The City Girls and more while reflecting on the emergence of her viral “F.N.F.” track, Duke Deuce’s album includes guest verses from Rico Nasty, Doe Boy, Baby Face Ray, Lil Yachty, Slimeroni and more. It makes perfect sense “Just Say THat” is both a favn-favorite track and one that Duke Deuce is proud of considering the electricity his co-star channeled into her feature verse.

Before she connected with Duke Deuce, Paper Route Empire rapper Kenny Muney actually told HipHopDX during an interview last month he believed Glorilla was the next up out of Memphis.

“Female rappers right there harder than, than niggas rapping man,” Kenny Muney said. “Mayne, female rappers killing shit. I would do a song with damn-near all of them. Muthafuckas hard right now, bro. Like we got, it’s a song right now popping in the city by a girl named Glorilla. She hard.”
