As EST Gee and 42 Dugg gear up to drop their collab tape Last Ones Left, the rapper said in an interview with Ebro Darden for Apple Music 1 that he’s already got a second collab project in the works with fellow Louisville lyricist Jack Harlow.
“That’s my guy, Jack. He really played a big part in my career,” Gee said during the interview. “He just believed in me, you know what I’m saying? Like when people ain’t get it…I wasn’t around the right part of the industry yet. So like, I can’t go, I couldn’t go Jack’s way.”
“But he tried to take me his way. … So I love Jack, exactly. Jack’s the GOAT, the coldest. They see Jack, they can’t fuck with Jack. They know they can’t fuck with Jack, and Jack know they can’t fuck with me. So we straight.”
The two rappers initially crossed paths on Harlow’s “Route 66,” and Gee said that track was the first of many he’s got in the work with the “Nail Tech” artist.
“He got a lot of songs he ain’t put out that’s cold,” Gee said. “Jack could drop a tape with me and him. He is. I had to get my stuff together, but it’s time now. So it don’t look like he’s just doing his boy a favor. I’m ready now.”
Last Ones Left is set to drop on Friday (April 8), and Jack Harlow will also return on Friday with his highly-anticipated new single “First Class,” off his equally as hyped sophomore effort Come Home The Kids Miss You. Harlow unveiled the cover art for the project on Wednesday (April 6).
