New York, NY – Fetty Wap was arrested on federal drug charges along with five others just as Rolling Loud New York was getting underway.
But according to Vulture, the 30-year-old rapper has been released from custody after posting $500,000 bond on Friday (November 5). He will be under GPS monitoring at all times and subject to random drug testing. Although he’s required to forfeit his passport, he’ll be able to travel if he gets permission from pretrial services and federal prosecutors.

Fetty Wap’s release comes after the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) released multiple photos of the $1.5 million in cash, 16 kilograms of cocaine, two kilograms heroin and fentanyl pills seized from the alleged drug ring. Drug paraphernalia such as metal pipes and hollow boxes were also confiscated and photographed during the bust.
A press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office confirmed Fetty Wap was charged with “conspiring to distribute and possess controlled substances.” Specifically, Fetty Wap was described as “a kilogram-level re-distributor for the trafficking organization.”
If convicted, all six — Fetty Wap, Kavaughn Wiggins, Brian Sullivan, brothers Robert and Anthony Leonardi and New Jersey correctional officer Anthony Cyntje — could face a maximum sentence of life in prison.
As Michael J. Driscoll, assistant director-in-charge at the New York Field Office of the FBI, said, “The fact that we arrested a chart-topping rap artist and a corrections officer as part of the conspiracy illustrates just how vile the drug trade has become.”
